Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the PubWidget application and related services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PubWidget ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the App's developer, Daniel Mitchell ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

PubWidget is a paid utility application that displays estimated Google AdSense earnings directly on your Android device's home screen via a native widget. The App connects to your Google AdSense account through Google's official OAuth 2.0 framework and presents read-only earnings data in a compact, glanceable format.

3. Purchase & License

3.1 One-Time Purchase

PubWidget is available as a one-time purchase on the Google Play Store. Upon completing your purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices associated with your Google account, subject to these Terms.

3.2 No Subscription

PubWidget does not require a subscription. The purchase price grants you lifetime access to the App, including future updates. We reserve the right to release a separate, new version of the App as a new product.

3.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively through the Google Play Store's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. Please consult Google Play's refund policy for eligibility.

4. Account & Authentication

4.1 Google OAuth

To function, the App requires you to authenticate via Google OAuth 2.0 and grant read-only access to your AdSense account data. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. PubWidget never sees, stores, or accesses your Google account password.

4.2 Token Storage

OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage in our backend infrastructure. You may revoke access at any time via Google Account Permissions.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree that you will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Google's AdSense Terms of Service.
• Attempt to circumvent any security or rate-limiting measures.
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App to any third party.
• Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair our backend infrastructure.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its name, logo, design, source code, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of Daniel Mitchell. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. Google AdSense, Google Play, and Android are trademarks of Google LLC. PubWidget is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Google AdSense API, a third-party service governed by Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of Google's services. AdSense earnings data displayed in the widget is provided as-is from Google's API and may be subject to delays, discrepancies, or reporting differences.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
• We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that earnings data will be accurate or timely.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the purchase price you paid for the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

PubWidget is a convenience tool designed to surface AdSense earnings data on your home screen. It is not a financial tool, accounting system, or official Google product. Estimated earnings figures displayed may differ from finalized earnings in your AdSense dashboard. You should always verify earnings data directly in your Google AdSense account before making business decisions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App's backend services at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App's online features will cease immediately. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App and revoking OAuth access via your Google Account.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
